Staff Bios - DeAnn Currey

Video Production Assistant

DeAnn is a Murfreesboro native and senior at MTSU. She is graduating in August with a degree in Electronic Media Communications and a minor in English.

While at MTSU, DeAnn worked for the school newspaper, Sidelines, where she wrote a weekly Opinions column, covered campus and local news, and also worked as copy editor.

She recently wrote and produced a promotional video for the YMCA, served as a talent escort for the 2006 Country Music Awards, and also produced videos for non-profits as assignments for two senior-level classes.

Aside from being a full-time student, DeAnn spends her free time doing creative writing, reading, or simply spending time with her friends and family. She is also very active with her church where she has been able to participate in 5 mission trips, including working at a children's camp in Iowa for two summers and working in orphanages in Brazil and Nicaragua.
