Have you used Google AdWords or Facebook ads yet? If so, what was your experience like? Satisfied, impressed, disappointed, ambivalent?
Google and Facebook are the WalMart and Target, Coke and Pepsi, McDonalds and Burger King, Chevy and Ford of the internet advertising world. They are duking it out like two mountain goats on the edge of a cliff with one likely to fall. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. Like all advertising vehicles it completely depends on the audience you are trying to reach. We’ve used both services with mixed results. Facebook is definitely more “lifestyle” and “passive” oriented and Google is more “direct” and “aggressive”. If you are wanting to create awareness then Facebook is probably the way to go, but if you want folks that are searching for your particular product or service then Google may be the answer. Sometimes you have to test the waters in order to determine what works best. Whatever you do, do something!
